Our client asked us to design a pool fence enclosure for their waterfront property. The challenge was to create a substantial looking fence that would look as though it is part of the original pool design while not interrupting the serene water views from the terrace.
Our solution was to use bronze square pickets inserted into the lawn without horizontal connections. Within the landscape, we wanted the fence to take on a more organic form. Against the terrace and building, the fence follows the rectilinear lines of the existing structures.
During design phase, we used a garden hose to lay out the shape that follows the undulating lawn. Four foot high stakes were specifically placed to verify that the fence would be below eye level. The bronze was selected to blend into the landscape, for richness of material, and durability.
